Chip King is a locally owned, family operated business.
I was looking to supplement my income as a permanent employee of the Government of Saskatchewan, to relieve some of the financial burden of my children's participation in organized sports. As I was considering various sideline employment opportunities, I got a very small stone chip on my windshield, I did not think it would be a problem, I did not want go out of my way or book an appointment to have it checked as the damage was very small - well, it was not a long period of time before it developed into a crack, leading to an inconvenient, and expensive windshield replacement.
It was through this occurrence, that I realized this would be a great service for our community, as no one, at that time was offering convenient, accessible windshield inspection or repair. As I gave this more consideration, I thought about the numerous vehicles I had seen with stone chips which were not repaired, for a variety of reasons. "No time", "will just get another one", "those kind don't crack"," too much money", "will wait until it breaks and replace" - NOTE: it is always more convenient and affordable to repair than replace. The consequence of inaction, resulted in vehicles being operated with badly cracked windshields ( which compromised the safety of the occupants ), costly replacements, and on occasion improperly installed windshields which may have wind noise, water leaks, glue residue in the vehicle and outside trim missing.
In 1996, Chip King began providing FREE windshield inspections, and should repair be necessary, the customer is advised of the cost, what to expect and warranty. Competent staff provide professional, knowledgeable, fast, friendly reliable repairs while you wait or tend to your errands.
The Mandate of Chip King is to provide quality workmanship, pleasant and knowledgeable customer service, and convenient accessibility. Chip King believes these objectives are best met by operating out of a Kiosk, which provides easy access and least interference to our customer's busy agendas. Chip King believes each visit for clients should be more than having their windshield repaired, Chip King strives to make each customer's visit a unique and enjoyable experience.
